Excellent examples of why youths should go in short shorts...
Frankly, the cuffed-short "kurze sepplhose" or "sepplhosen" style of lederhosen are the ideal shorts for boys & youths. They are practical, comfortable, fitting, and virtually indestructible. And, lads look most smart and - dare I say - cute donned in them. Indeed, it's sad this fashion for lads has become virtually extinct...
Unfortunately these have undertones of the Hitler Youth, but it's time to get over that and bring back lederhosen shorts to liberate youth and to counteract the global jean and bermuda brigade
Well obviously the Hitler references are undesirable but yeah I think these guys look hot too. And smart. And fit. (Unlike so many young guys they actually look as though they actually have a life).
Contrary to the popular conception, lederhosen were never part of the official Hitler Youth uniform... This association is unfortunate as I think it helped to virtually kill lederhosen being the common casual attire for boys in Germany & Austria... It is nice to see, though, that some scout groups have retained (or returned to) them as part of their uniforms, as evinced in the photos here (which appear to be fairly recent)...
